Just for fun I purchased some third-party gilded silver coins. The capsules got some scuffs and scratching but the coins seem fine:
It's been a long time, but I'm recently getting back into the game. Bought 1 of each Goat from 1/2 to 5oz, then I complimented my order with a 2oz Horse. No pictures as I'm sure everyone knows what these look like. You reckon the Goats will attract a bit of a premium in a few years? Some of my older Lunars seem to be selling for a fair bit on eBay these days.
Received some Scottsdale Reserve rounds today, quite impressed with them too. GoldStackers shipped them in the capsules you see here which I thought was very nice of them (small scratches and scuffs are on the capsules, not the rounds). EDIT: Changed to a better photo (still learning to use my camera).
I found 2000 Syd Olympic silver coins are masterpiece and at of current date, these coins not seen toned or milky... well those I have seen so far incld this 1kg

Coincidently mine arrived today as well as an America the beautiful 5 oz coin, great looking coins, both of them. Nice buy Blanca, I might grab another of that 10 oz, lovely coin.
myself an early Christmas present (and as a small consolation for missing out on the 2014 7-coin silver proof Libertad set). A 5oz Silver Proof Libertad from muenzdachs on eBay....but it apparently won't arrive until Dec 2nd to 8th) ..it was $300 with 10 watchers Cheers, Luker [imgz=http://forums.silverstackers.com/uploads/13635_nnn.jpg][/imgz] ...hmmm...post#666
I bought a Marshall Islands 1989 Milestones in space exploration 24 coin proof set. Unfortuanatly no COA and a few of the coins have toned due the the capsuls not holding tight enough but it is still a nice looking set.
First time buying anything in a hock shop. Got them for spot and a $15 discount for feigning ignorance
Yesterday I received two SBSB 1oz silver proof Argyraspides rounds. "The Argyraspides, so called because they used silver plated shields, were a division of the Macedonian Army under Alexander the Great. They were hand picked men commanded by Nicanor, son of Parmenion and were held in high regard by Alexander. Originally they were a type of soldier called Hypaspists or "shield bearers" They were made up of older men but they were one of Alexander the Great's most feared units." There is also a 1/10th oz version of which the coin creator Chris Duane says: "The short story behind it is that throughout all of history and 2/3 of the world today, 1/10 of an ounce of silver represents 1 days labor. Roman soldiers were paid a denarius for each day they served the Roman Legion. In Sun Tzu's the Art of War a 10,000 man army could be bought for a 1,000 ounces of silver a day." *************** It would be nice if during my retirement I was able to live off each of my 1 oz silver coins for 10 days! I suppose that this coin with a mintage of 2850 is doing well for them as my COAs are 2307 and 2336. Cheers, Luker
