From email this morning FINALLY! We are writing to inform you that we will accept delivery of the 7 Coin Proof Libertad Sets & Proof Like Kilo coins on Saturday 10/4. Both items cleared US Customs on Thursday and are already on their way to us. We will be working through the weekend to get these shipped out as quickly as we can. Currently we project the following shipping timeline. Monday 10/6: We expect to have most or all orders containing ONLY the 7 Coin Proof Set shipped. Some international orders may require additional time due to the additional customs paperwork required. Tuesday 10/7: We expect to have all domestic orders containing the 7 Coin Proof Set and additional items shipped. Wednesday 10/8: We expect to have ALL pre-orders containing 2014 Mexico Libertads shipped. Once your shipment has been prepared, you will receive an auto generated email with tracking information.
The kilo PL Libertad will be an awesome coin as usual. If anyone gets either the kilo or the 7-coin proof set please take pics and share if you can. .
It sounds like the guy that orders from the mint has no clue about when the set will actually ship....
It could be that the mint told the dealers one thing but ran into unforeseen delays and then having to postpone shipment to the dealers....more than once perhaps. .
Have you ever heard of a Mexican Minute? Look it up. Choice Bullion is as honest and upstanding as any out there, they bend over backwards to make things right. Unfortunately, this time, what the mint said and promised, kept being changed by the Banco de Mexico Completely out of the hands of the dealers. And, they also went so far as to offer anyone a complete refund if they cared to no longer wait it out. Some have raked them over the coals, and I hope this has not soured Choice from again trying to get these rare sets for us again in the future The whole experience may make them just say it is just not worth the aggravation and that would be a shame
I have no problem with Choice Bullion's handling of this product offering in that they have had no control over when the product would be ready as well as shipped. All they could do was give us periodic updates as information became available. Good luck finding a 2 or 5 oz Proof Libertad anywhere. As far as I can tell we'll be some of the first to receive them and I'm fine with that.
Great service from Choice bullion, they definitely did their best in keeping us informed. This set is a winner. 2014 is about to end and no proof Libertads have hit the market yet...
On a related note if I may, anyone know anything about the 2014 Aztec Calendar kilo? 2014 is about shot and no mention of this one anywhere. Maybe there won't be one and they have ended the series or the mint is having issues with the kilo coins, last priority to produce?
I'm still fairly excited about receiving the set. I'm considered a international shipment that included other items so I'll probably be the last to have it shipped to me but regardless I'm looking forward to getting everything.
There were quite a few international orders, with many followed by requests to not ship via Fedex. So most international orders will ship via Registered Mail International, the paperwork for which actually has to be filled out by hand.
Domestic orders ship via Priority Mail, Registered Mail or Fedex depending on contents and order value.
Aztec Calendar kilo will be delivered within next three or four weeks to me. Mintage is again only 500 pieces.
Thank you for putting in the extra work for me. I'm sorry I wasn't aware of all the extra work that had to be put in. It's just .999 silver or gold coming into Canada do not get taxed but apart from USPS the other companies like to charge brokerage fees regardless to clear these items.
