Aaaagh! Am still waiting for a coloured $2 coin in my change. But do understand how scarce they are. Probably time to go and actually buy the two coloured $2 coins from Downies! Been lazy to do so. lol. It has been a while since I have found a non-coloured $2 Poppy coin in my change. But do have a few of them collected.
Had the banks trained well in my old place of residence, a fun day out right 1000 bucks worth of coins in 200 $ bags, carry them to car arms get longer, wasn't worried about getting mugged snatch and grab too hard LOL so I would sit in the car and go through them with a towel on my lap pick out the ones I wanted have some spares to replace the ones I took take them back get my money back and go to the next bank. found some good stuff but no mule and eventually the banks got sick of it and so did I but it was an experience that was fun and a good day out but what I really learned was how filthy this stuff is my hands felt like yeah I know get a life LOL
Not me but a mate found a 2000 $1 Mule in his change yesterday, lucky bugger, got from a milk bar in Tasmania....Good condition too!!!
Nice, I haven't noodled for a while but I went to my local ANZ to see if they had any of the new 50 Cent pieces, the commemorative AISTISAASITA one. I wanted a security bag but even though the place was empty I could see that there was no way she was going to check out the back for me but she did go through her change draw and pull out three. Add that to the other two I have pulled out of circulation and I am not doing too badly.
I thought I found a rounded 50 cent coin (from 1966) in my change a few days ago, and was really happy for a few seconds, until I realised it was a New Zealand 50 cent coin from 1982. Bummer! lol. I still kept this coin for something different though. lol
