I don't believe QE will end any time soon and that it may be increased not far into the new year.

Could be just trying to nurse the economy through the mid term elections with the illusion that the economy is performing well by having a stronger US dollar. Mind you I didn't believe that the US could taper QE without the economy falling apart and they have depending what you believe about the ECB-Belgium clearing house deal. Being able to successfully lift interest rates is a whole different story.

O.k C.L i thought the removal of QE was a definate thing happening in October but you are saying they are still nursing it along?

Yes lifting rates will surely be very difficult after being so low for so long.

It is a definite thing happening in October. I'm saying that ending QE just before the mid term elections in the US will give the illusion to the people that the economy is back on track and help the democratic vote. Doesn't mean after the election when it becomes apparent that it is not, they won't turn the printing presses on again. Can it simply be coincidental that the Fed ends QE on the 29th October with the mid term elections on the 4th November?

and to those that have not read the other thread. This is why we give "The End" hard time

unemployed for more than 12 months and quits a full time job after 30 mins because it is "too messy" in a WORKSHOP
