This new coin is really really beautiful!!!
It looks like a Perth Mint issue but I don't see it among PM latest releases (yet?).
Mintage only 1000 pcs. Any info about?

This is definitely not Chinese style. Only a Chinese topic.

they would have made more $$ if they split the coin into 4-coin series... just a thought.

The coin is on Perth Mint website now, only 35 pieces left out of 1000.
I feel it is going to be a very expensive coin soon.

    the presentation is bad.

$1 for each ounce, adds up to $5 for five ounces. for the four animals with a gild and white silver.

the combo should be a gild and a black silver.

Nothing Chinese about this coin, not with the Queens effigy on the other side. Also, 4 is never an auspicious number in Chinese culture.

This is like China mint designing a St George the Dragon slayer coin.

Agree. And the color combination is totally no Chinese.

It would be a good coin if it has no color at all.

The coin is nice and I like it. The thing is though I just don't see that the upside is worth the risk to buy it. I mean if you consider what you can potentially make on it versus what you can potentially lose on it I come to the conclusion it is not worth it. I just feel the starting price on many of these coins is too high. While I stick with buying what I like I also like to see my purchases increase in value. When the "buy in" is too high I feel it wise to skip it all together.

Where do you see the count of how many are left?

Also, isn't the risk minimal, since Perth accepts returns for 30 days? I don't mind paying $10 to ship it back if I don't like it.

Thanks for keeping up on this and posting your opinion, everyone!

This coin is one of the better 5oz silver releases. It looks like 5oz coins are what collectors are looking for these days.

Just hope they can keep them to a limited mintage.

I use a trick, in PM site item page, I try to add to cart a huge quantity and the website automatically correct it to available quantity in stock.

Good trick. Using it, there are now 96 available. I guess they released another 100 within the past hour or so.
