I like it. Pretty inexpensive our favorite place: Talisman. I'm still waiting on my 6 gold superman coins :D

My guess is that the 5oz looks just as bad as the 1oz.

I just love the way they refer to it as a "stealth release", I see that as insulting their customers intelligence. Like people don't know it's a commissioned product.

Don't think this will do as well as the wedge tailed eagle. Just another copy.

Bought two myself today. One for keeps and one for trading. Still mourning the fact that the
5oz gold 2014 Britannia is now sold out (mintage 75)..I had a plan to be able to afford it in 6 weeks
time contingent on selling some of my stocks. Doubt I'll ever come across another coin that I like that much!
    Cheers, Luker

Looks pretty bad ass, I like it. What's the mintage/price?

    5 oz. 1,500 mintage. $269.00 (U.S.).

Yeah, those Brits are nice. No question. I just couldn't throw my money at it. It was tough enough on the 269.00, but at 54.00 an ounce, with 1,500 mintage, I was willing to take the chance. I picked up one for chrissilver if he wants it. He likes this high relief coins, and this series to boot. Otherwise, I'll keep it.

Silvertowne has them as well. The 1 oz version of the coin did pretty well.

I really like it too, I love high relief versions of anything...but man...with silver so cheap right now...I can only concentrate on adding cheap bulk silver to the stack right now.

I know what you mean. 90% of my purchases are semi-numi bullion...and 10% (per month) is on collectible stuff like this. Holds/Gains value in turbulent times, plus I enjoy having them around, and showing the kids.

Even though I told myself I wouldnt, I KNOW I would have come home yesterday from the coin show with one had there been one...once it's in your paws it follows you home. :)

Didn't see a single one there at the show....

Luker was actually referring to the 5 oz gold Britannia, not silver...both of which have a lot of premium attached but the gold coin's premium was considerably less percentage-wise. If I had the money, I would have definitely bought the gold 5 oz too.

As for the 5 oz Eagle above, nice looking coin from the illustration above (though I wonder how the actual coin looks) and the mintage is low. Eagles will always be popular. It's seems like it is worth buying in my view.

I am a big fan of high relief coins and medals.

Some stackers are waiting for the $14 - $15 silver that might be on it's way. Getting a 15-20% discount just by having patience is at least as cool as buying today at higher prices! :)

I quite like the look of it, but I collect too much stuff already, 5oz is the only coin size I don't have and if I was to buy a 5ozer the Bald eagle would be the one I'd buy.
