http://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/index.aspx?CertNumber=3864291-130 Much talk about Libertad's here in the SS forum has driven me to search for a gold Lib in flawless condition. .
I don't think I have enough money but if I had won powerball on Thursday I think I could have given her a roll in my next movie http://scarlett-johansson.org/gallery/displayimage.php?album=772&pid=19684#top_display_media
With respect, that isn't clear in the thread title. People can have stacking goals in 2014 that include previous years coins. Maybe I read it wrong, apologies for my post.
After reading the first two legit responses, I realized that the title could be interpreted differently than I intended but I saw no way of changing the title. So, your point is well taken and all responses I suppose are valid because of my less than clear wording. But, if you were to keep to 2014, how would you respond? .
I'm with the guys above with the britannia for 2014 but in reality I'd go for some napoleon bonaparte or earlier swiss francs. Buying more coins and increasing the stack isn't high on my list of priorities this year and most prob next.
+1 on the 5 oz gold 2014 Britannia. I too wish I had a level of disposable income that would justify the premium. Paying $13,343 AUD for 5 ounces of gold in 2014 would result in a divorce I think.
It's a tough one mate. It would have been the 5oz britannia before the mintage debacle, but now I'd like a kilo lunar horse, but funds won't stretch.
I seriously wanted the 10 kilo lunar horse, but again... that premium Imagine a stack of those beauties.
The 5oz proof gold Britannia is still available on Royal Mint website, so technically it is not difficult to source for one if you have the budget.
That closing line was a hoot (while probably quite seriously truthful). I definitely would have to agree with all those who pointed to the 2014 5 oz gold Britannia....but that would be on my fantasy list, not my legit wish list. EDIT: I found the NGC listing for the Libertad by referencing cert number from the picture MCM had on their page for this item. Actually, the more I think of it, maybe an MS70 graded 2014 gold Libertad should also be on my fantasy list because I have spent weeks and weeks looking for one and have not come across one for sale since MCM first had a few listed but took it off their site rather quickly from what I remember. I don't remember the price they had, but recently seeing similar coins from previous years being offered at like $2,500 and up, it might be a coin that is out of range for me. But if the spot price of gold drops big in the next 12-16 months, hey you never know....someone who owns one may just release it for a price I can handle. Just thought of another 2014 coin to add to my wish list: a 2014 MS70 graded (NGC or PCGS) silver 1 oz Canadian Maple Leaf. You find one for sale, you let me know immediately via PM. .
Lol, as far as I know there is only one MS70 maple in existence from PCGS, and luckily for you that's a 2014.
With population of 1 this is surely a close-to-impossible coin to acquire! I wonder what's the asking price? $200,000?
Only 1? I think I'm better off seeking MS69....should be considerably less than $200,000 for one of those. Where is the census data on PCGS for silver Canadian Maple Leafs? It's easy to pull up data on US coins on PCGS but not easy for non-US coin census data. I just checked APMEX....$75.00 for the MS69....now that is very affordable. Time for me to check other dealers that don't charge me tax. .
