This sounds like great fun to attend and be a part of. Any chance we could go all 2014 and stream it? Or Maybe record and put up on the site for all of us who can't attend? May be restrictions on photography and video I suppose but just a thought. In any case, all you lucky guys enjoy, I would love to attend one of these some day and see your beautiful country.
Perth has confirmed that a demonstration gold pour will be put on this year for the Silver Stackers launch. The launch will be on Monday 1st September 2014, commencing at 7:30am, at The Perth Mint, Hay St, Perth WA. Names and phone numbers are now required to confirm your attendance - please email admin (@) silverstackers.com with the following details to confirm your attendance. * Forum name of person making the attendance booking * Real name (must match your photo ID) * Real names of other guests/partners/children attending with you * Contact phone number (preferably mobile) You will not receive an immediate email reply, but a list of forum attendees and the number of guests they will be bringing will be posted some time next week. If multiple people are attending, please list all of their real names. This is for security purposes, not for marketing purposes, and is a requirement of the Perth Mint for entry into the event. I do not have any details yet on purchase limits on the day on the 1oz gold or silver coins, but would assume it is similar to years past, which was 20oz of silver and 5oz of gold. No limits would apply to the other sizes.
If you haven't already responded, please do so, as the list of names needs to be finalised shortly. There may be an opportunity for some attendees to preview a new website for the Perth Mint - and give feedback - so if you're in Perth and ever grumbled about the old one, might be a good idea to pop along on the day
Since I don't reside in Australia. Will I be able to purchase the year of the goat coin ? The reason i'm asking...The 1oz 2014 silver koala high relief coin. That coin I can not purchase on the Perth Mint site. Will I have that same issue with the Goat?
YES It would help if you filled in your location Most other dealers will send coins O.S depending where you are
If your in Europe the 2014 HR is available here: http://www.silber-corner.de/de/High-Relief-Koala-2014-1-Oz-Silber-Box-CoA
Just a heads up, the purchase limits placed in previous years appear to be MUCH more generous this year. Would make an interstate visit much more viable. Watch this space. Book your place while you still can.
The goat is selling a lot cheaper than the horse (currently). Were the horses more expensive originally (higher premium), or is it just because the horse is sold out by PM these days?
About time CK. I have decided not to attend because of this concern Last year I had to take five friends along. Finally the woman at the counter said are you going to bring anyone else I explained couldn't buy through Rare coin co as they had difficulties, other dealers ( not Goldstackers) were pre-selling and not passing on any of the volume discounts, some clients that had purchased similar quantities for the last few years lunar releases and requested volume breaks got none. A few weeks after the opening release I organised a group buy on Silver stackers for the silver bullion 1oz Horses .Funnily enough most stackers weren't interested as they had already purchased some even didn't believe the price! @ 30.61 ish when pre orders from dealers were from ~$39/36 Hopefully someone else might do this again this year . You would be crazy not too edit price checked records $30 .61
Last year I bought horses at $36 each - spot at the time was about $26 - i.e. $10 over spot. This year pre-sale goats are about $32.50 - spot is currently about $21.50 - so $11 over spot. These are release prices - after the Perth Mint has sold out / allocated all production to dealers, the secondary market prices will increase.
