    Hi fellow stackers,

I just bought this coin with another ss members through auction. I wonder whether the chip on the edge of my coin and a small chip outside the circles of the dragon will affects its values and whether it is normal imperfection of the coin?

Your suggestion and experience is appreciated

I haven't looked too closely at mine so I have no idea whether it has a few chips in it.

Obviously you want it in as good a condition as you can get it but it is not a proof or specimen coin, it is bullion. Having said that, it is bullion with a heavy premium and comes in a capsule, so it isn't 'just' bullion.

If there were two on offer at the same price you would want the one in the best condition but you won't often come across two, I rarely see one for offer.

You should be ok but obviously when you are able to post pictures it will be easier to tell.

Though the big rim nick seems to be bigger than the usual ones, it is an expected imperfection. None of mine are 100% perfect, all have little marks and scratches around the rim as there's a few mm's space for it to jump around in the capsule. High premium bullion coin is all it really is but definitely worth hanging on to for a chance of high appreciation if there's no remint by 2019 (not long to go :D)

I dont see a big problem with that coin.put it back in the capsule and u wont see it.U were not supposed to remove it from the capsule anyway and I assume u handled with bare hand ;) if u did u just made a bigger possible problem. There were clear shots on the auction and no one mentioned any imperfection.believe me they would have. whatever trying to do here with yr "issue" try to do that at any bullion or coin dealer(they wont let u open the capsule to inspect any coin)
