Hey guys, I'm a gold and silver trading newb. I've been doing some research (does anyone else listen to Max Keiser?) and am really keen to get some silver under my belt (I can't afford gold) as a "just in case". I'm only 19, which is why I can't afford gold, and have decided to put a percentage of my weekly income into buying silver, so hopefully I can have some worthwhile trades with you all. I live in Melbourne and would prefer face-to-face meetings for trades, for obvious reasons. Jamie
Hi col0016, Welcome, i have not heard of Max keiser that i know of ..but now i have. How did you run into the s stackers website? there are a few younger people looking into gold and silver now.
hey col, im not much older then yourself (23), why dont you tell us how you discovered silver and gold as stores or wealth?
I've been listening to the Alex Jones show for a while who has weekly segments with Bob Chapman and Max Keiser. They were responsible for waking me up to gold and silver. Max Keiser was responsible for spreading the word about buying silver to crash JP Morgan if you heard about that. I googled Australian Silver Coins and a forum post came up. I've been reading different things here on and off all day and decided to join up and try it out. Mainly because I can get the same prices as from Perth but without the shipping costs! I think I am also going to have to invest in a safe though, any recommendations?
Slam- I just came home from 10 months in Japan. I could own half the silver in the world if I had spent that money on silver. Just kidding it was an amazing experience, however I started to get really nervous in the last few months thinking about how much money I could be investing in real currency. (I discovered gold and silver while in Japan :s )
That Max guy must be a stand-up individual!! We need more people like that in this community. Welcome aboard... 22 here and I was in Japan recently, Tokyo blew my mind!
I was in Tokyo for a month and up near the top for 9 months. I was lucky enough to get into a city in the most traditional state to do an exchange in. It was completely amazing. Hopefully if I do well enough in silver I'll be able to go back
Nice, I went in May this year, Osaka, Kyoto, Hakone and Tokyo. Awesome experience. Will go back sometime later in my life. I miss Japan, food is really nice there, people are so polite =D. I spent a bit of money, but I don't see it as a lot for a once in a lifetime experience. Slam
Welcome aboard! You shouldnt feel bad about the money spent on travel, we need to enjoy our world. As a guy who loves history I just think how lucky I am to have the opportunity to travel every time my plane takes off. Until very recently in human history most people didnt go any further than 30km from where they were born. Even Jesus, who seemed to be quite travelled if you believe in the underlying history of the bible didnt go much farther than that. Fastforward to medievel, renaissance, or even later and the cost to travel even between cities was prohibitive for the average joe. Now for an ounce of gold P) I can get on a plane and travel to the other side of the planet. I honestly believe this golden age of travel will start to end, mainly when the energy that is used in moving us around the planet becomes more and more expensive, and unless another cheap and plentiful energy source for aircraft is found we will be back to by and large sticking around home. I fully intend to enjoy travelling the world while I can, as I think its possible that my kids (when I get around to having any) wont have quite the same opportunity for what I consider to be cheap travel. As you can tell I have put way to much though into this hahah. I have considered blogging about my history laced view on the world for a while now, but I reckon most people would lapse into a coma Anyway, goodluck with the stacking
Welcome Jamie I have been on a lot of forums (all different subjects and types), but this is the friendliest and most helpful i have ever seen. Have fun stacking.
Thanks guys. Dabloodytravel- I love to travel, I would just feel a bit more secure if I owned my own self sufficient property first, just in case Mark- Everybody has an incentive to be helpful and nice here
