I don't know about a 2008 look, but judging from what is described at comlaw we might be getting a coin with the 1990 design.
It makes sense to re-use that design for the 25th anniversary of the series, though I wouldn' be surprised if there was some alterations to the old design (the finish might be something other than the brushed finish used on the 1990 coin).

2015 Australian Kookaburra - Silver Bullion Coins
The design on the 2015 Australian Kookaburra (1kg, 10oz, 2oz, 1oz) silver bullion coins, consists of a circle of dots which encloses a representation of a kookaburra perched on a tree stump and surrounded by foliage. The coins include the following inscriptions, 'THE AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA', '1990-2015', P25 along with the weight of the coin and '999 SILVER'.

I'll be adding at least a roll or two of both the 2015 kooks and the goats, and if I wasn't half way around the world I'd definately would have taken part in this event as well.

Is the Perth Mint offering and special prices for the site? I'm half way around the planet and unable to get there (this year) i'm afraid. I would really like to make an order for a 10oz coin.

Not locked in yet, but the mint is offering to put a gold pour on for Silver Stackers members on the day if the numbers are there.

Should be the first Monday in September, subject to confirmation.

Discounts! You're 'avin a laff sunshine!

Most people will probably buy the limits anyway as they are very small.

For the Dragon, Snake and Horse I jumped in and pre ordered several rolls. On each occassion they were available cheaper a few months down the track and they are still readily available cheaper than the issue price. I wouldn't stress over it, they will become available soon enough.

Certainly won't be sitting on the Perth Mint Website trying to order them again!
