The Perth Mint appears to be drip releasing these coins like they did when they released this years stock horse.

Crap, sorry Solved. They must have only had a few. But like Sneakypeen said, keep watching, they may "find" more.

yes, they were available for maybe 5 minutes only. what a joke

comparing with Perth mint, U.S. mint is an angel:) At least U.S. Mint gives every one equal opportunity, and put ENTIRE mintage on At the SAME time! Even a dealer still has to go through the same process like an average Joe/Jane does. Perth mint is just playing "now you see it, now you don't" game. What a shame

I will post my reply in response to your post because without reading yours I had the same thought, here it is below:

*sigh* I don't have time to play whack-a-mole on the Perth Mint website. It should have occurred to me to check back around morning Perth time, but oh well, if some of you manage to get them in the next few days when they magically appear *whenever* more power to you, I'm over it.

I just called the phone line to order one and got told they're unavailable. They took my member number to put me in a queue for ones that become available.

I asked why coins are now being trickle fed on the web site. I'm paraphrasing, but the gist was "The release happens at midnight Perth time, which is daytime for USA and UK. So we hold back some to release in Australian daytime to give Australian customers a chance to buy the coins". I didn't bother responding that most of North America is now comfortably sitting at home in the evening, eagerly awaiting the chance to purchase coins... so I'm not sure how releasing at this time is "helping Australian customers".

Same thing happenned with the Dragons, after that they said they fixed it and it seemed like they had because there was no problems with the snakes, turns out that the reason they didn't have the asme problem with the snakes was because no one wanted them.

I decided not to bother waiting up any more and as I won't pay inflated prices on the secondary market, I don't buy them at all.

However if someone wants to wait up for two hours then I guess it is worth paying them a bit extra to do so.

    no it's not

    230 Euro = 338 Australian Dollars
    Issue price was $162.73

that is more than double the issue price
or are you saying you can buy 2 Poseidons for 230 Euros?
then that would be a deal
or they have 2 for sale at 230 each ?

    Have you missed that " 2 x " sign?

Yes, that means 2 Poseidon coins. At least that is how I understand " 2 x "

Ah I see. Don't know why someone would quote an ex GST price as you can't buy the coin without paying it...

House - As I understand it, if an overseas order is placed with an Australian dealer and shipped ex Aust, the product is GST free (exempt). This not only applies to certain coins but any product that has GST attached. In this case it looks like Torcan lives in Canada. The issue is now the shipping charge and possible duty that can be applied at the other end.

Bullion and bullion coins in Aust are GST free as long as it is 99.99 % pure.

Sorry if I mention something you are already aware of.

RE: Perth Mint site made Poseidon purchase a lottery

If Perth Mint had made Poseidon purchase an actual lottery, it would have been a whole lot better that whatever you call that cluster-turtle we went through yesterday.
