Can anyone point me in the direction of somewhere/someone who can sell me Silver at the very lowest prices? I want a direct method of investing without paying high premiums over spot price.

    Thanks guys :)

Danny. Is that really the lowest price?

    Subtotal: 82.46
    Shipping type: UPS
    Shipping price: 14.61
    TOTAL: 97.07

    Spot price is around 0.4*155 = 62

62 spot + 10% premium (dealers salary costs, rent costs, loan costs, etc) = 68 (approx)

68 + 20% VAT (silver in the UK attracts VAT) = 82 (approx).

    Sounds about right.

if you find somewhere give us a shout, iam currently comparing 3 dealers in the uk and its amazing the difference, , also a new ones popped up which im very weary of anything new especially a bullion dealer , its a bit weird because they have a product on their which normally carries a hefty premium and it is selling the same price as an identical plainer product, strange

What is this for, how many etc?

No it won't be the cheapest if you are buying 5 coins, you will get much closer to spot if you place a sizeable order.

If you are buying coins in fives, your cost average will be 18 or more.

What are you looking to buy, coins/bars?

    I'm from the UK also.

I've been looking at getting 20 2014 silver Britannia's, which is 20oz of silver

Cheapest price I can find is 350.20 from AtkinsonsBullion, that works out as 17.51 per oz

But you can also buy 20 Johnson Matthey 1oz bars from atkinsons for 326.00 which works out to 16.30 per oz

The above is all including VAT and free shipping + the more you buy the cheaper you get it of course, so that is why I've been talking about in 20's of oz.

I myself am more interested in buying some gold atm though, have a 1 oz gold Britannia in my basket on thegoldbullion for 785.97, but I'm waiting to see if the price goes down anymore in the next few hours.

For a 1oz gold Britannia it's been easily the cheapest price I've seen it for the 30 days I've been lurking prices, usually at about 810

So if I bought a month ago I would of got the same thing for 810 vs 786 now which is a good saving.

Same with silver, you could wait a bit see if it drops anymore.. also could go up of course, gamble you take.

    Hope this helps

Murray, you could buy from Europe Silver Bullion for 322 delivered, that's 16.10 per britannia.

Silver to go would be even cheaper but they only have 8 in stock.

If you wanted maples, STG is 282.61 for 20 delivered giving 14.13 per ounce.

Both are in Europe so no additional taxes to pay on delivery, I order from both to the UK most months.

Thanks, that is because of the tax is different in Europe right?

You've found those sites to be reliable then? obviously being new to this I've had my reservations about buying outside the UK from sites I haven't heard of before.

    Cheers for the tips.

No problem buddy, yes it's tax related.

I, and many people I know on our UK forum have used both many times and have never had a problem. You can pay by bank transfer into their account which is what most of us do, very quick shipping too.

I understand your reservations, I had them when I started out too, but they are fine.

Would buying from Europe silver bullion warrant an import tax (+admin fee), or is all tax paid ? Got caught on this when buying from Guersney
I have used Atkinsons for the majority of my purchases as always have competitive prices (although I always check before purchase)

    Regards

Buying from ESB does not incur any charges on delivery, I have ordered from them many times.

    They are in the EU.

you are an honest bunch in the UK always worried about paying your tax, think most here are thinking on how to avoid it.
As others have suggested why not buy your products from other countries and have it mailed to the UK?

I buy from the Gold Bullion Company (it`s fairly close to where i live also), at the Moment they have a pretty good deal on a 10 pack of scotsdale 1 Oz bars, the price is comparable to the above at 17 something an Oz too.
but when the markets open in the morning that may change again, but for Now you`ll be ok up until about 8am 2moro ;)

Hi Scott and all UK silver collectors

If you are looking to buy silver bullion - my lowest prices are 12% over spot. I amassed a large quantity of silver a year ago and I am happy to sell.

Regrettably - I don't sell coins or small priced bars - they are on mass and quantity only (as it's just not worth my time)

I used to sell on ebay until their fees were bleeding me dry, now i'm selling to existing customers from ebay and local individuals.

You can check out my adverts, ask any questions & make me an offer

Any reason why you won't sell the 1kg bars singly?
