35 invites have now been sent out. If you haven't received one and would like to attend please put down a "buzz" on this thread. Cut off for invites is Friday 10 pm.
Unfortunately this meeting is so far out of the city and in the outer suburbs again, I will not be there again. If this could be moved back to near the city again we would be happy to pay for the rent of the old premises, so that more people could attend.
Thanks Peter for your feedback. I shall take it into consideration for future events. Unfortunately the previous venue was getting too expensive. We had to pay a $150 membership fee and $70 each time we hired a room. It was also hard to book in a date as there was always others wanting to hire the same room too. I also didn't like the fact we had to charge people an entry fee of $5 to cover the room hire. The kitchen would also close at 2pm, this is when our meetups would start. We are now at a modern high-end secure venue with free car parking, free tea & coffee, plenty of food, train station and buses close by and best of all the venue hire is FREE ! (I don't have to charge anyone an entry fee). I really couldn't ask for more and really appreciate the nice place we have now. PS: If someone wants to organize one closer to the city. They are much welcome to.
The deadline for sending out invites is 10pm tonight. (Friday) If you are thinking of attending this Sunday. Put a "buzz" down here and I'll send out and invite.
Cheers to the organisers. Unreal products at way reasonable prices. Wasnt expecting the bombshell from the auctioneer. I expect he will make an announcment about it on the forum so wont thunder steal.
Thank You to Adrenalin, Gold Pelican, Capt Kookaburra and the kind donator of the meeting venue. Much appreciate what you have done for the Melb stackers. It was good fun...good to hearing from the boys at Gold Stackers in regards to Xag/Croc etc. Had so much fun at auction, there were surprisingly heaps of bullion on offer...yummy Cheers
Beau, your buzz was a bit too late. (Less than 2 hours before it started) Sorry I didn't see it till after the event. Come along to the next one.
