I thought Faber lived in the north of the country (not an island).

Haven't you been invited to Faber's investment seminar on his island resort?

They said it was no strings attached, but wouldn't you know from the moment I arrived, there were strings everywhere!

    This honestly isn't a coup.

If the army wanted a coup, they would have done it without any shame, seeing though there has been one every few years since the late 30's...

The King of Thailand is primarily a ceremonial position, but he is an important figure much like heads of state in other constitutional monarchies.

AFAIK, he hasn't made any public statements yet. That is not a good sign.

Thailand has a coup every few years doesn't it? It's like their own version of the olympics but with only the shooting category

Yep, I just came here to post an update but got beaten to it :)

I said they would be upfront about it and they are... no more pretending to work with the caretaker government now! I don't think it is such a bad thing personally.

edit: As an update, I just lost all my international news channels and they have been replaced with some 'feel-good' reel of military officers at Buddhist temples
