Just incase anyone was interested in buying 2013 1 oz Fiji Takus they are available now on Apmex for $24. They will not be making a 2014 and the 2013 was sold out on every site I checked in the U.S. Now Apmex has roughly 775.

Hmm. We have the 2011 Fiji takus here for 24.50 each.

Hasn't moved for quite a longtime.

Yeah I've found those around. The ones that are hard to find are 2013. Without the queen and what seems to be the last year for the Taku? May not find them too often other then ebay for a premium.

Well 775 is a lot of takus!

Unless this happens to be another marketing ploy to boost mint sales.

    Kinda like the Britannia mules?

I'm not sure. I know I wanted some more so I bought a few instead of having to pay for international shipping. After I ordered I checked and noticed the amount that came in and thought it was a lot as well. Most times when they get a previous year back in stock it's because someone sold some to them. But almost 800? Who would buy that many to hold on to and why sell it now with price where it's at. If they left it out of stock to create a demand and stocked it when no one else could, why not raise the premium to take advantage of that demand?

Unless they know these coins aren't selling as quickly.

Or they know a new batch is being minted.

If I recall these takus are being minted to demand no?

I heard they were continuing to mint 2013 to supply any demand but why not at least continue to stock some with other sites as well? It's been months since I signed up for the alert on Apmex and Provident Metals and just now got an email today. Even if they weren't in huge demand wouldn't you want to hold a few hundred in stock just to give people that option for a purchase? Especially since they do carry a higher premium then a round or even an ASE in some cases.
