Just a bit of speculative fun, but the C.C.A.C. in the US chose this design as their favourite to replace the heraldic eagle on the American Silver Eagle bullion coin. I stuck it on a coin to see what it would look like. What do you think of the design? Source: http://agaunews.com/?p=10453
The current American Eagle design is old and boring (that's putting it nicely). I very much welcome the new design. The US Mint ought to adopt it for 2015 and forward.
Where is the fist full of arrows! Is that an olive branch? Are they trying to re-brand America, I know Obama got the Nobel Peace Prize but he has been invoved in a few wars since then surely. I guess you could say they are bringing peace by destroying all opposition so I guess that might count. Edit to add: Good work on the mock-up
Looks nice. Just need to replace 'justice integrity service' with 'profligacy ineptness control'. Covers most governments too so they can borrow it
Ms Wastwwet, who is a CCAC member, made suggestions including adding to the design the arrows held in the talon and other things. Still, this design is a far better one than the ancient design currently being used.
Ms. Heidi Wastweet also made a few coin designs for the "silver bullet silver shield" series as well. The freedom girl and the trivium to name just a few!
Had another final go. Source:http://agaunews.com/speculative-look-ccac-2016-american-silver-eagle-look-like/
Yes, thanks for the correction. Her sculpting work is quite spectacular and I like the input she's had on the CCAC new design consideration for the American Eagle coin.
It's definitely an improvement over the current design, AgAuNews, but I'd make some changes to this design if it were up to me.
Thanks for the mock up agaunews.I think that this will be a nice improvement over the current reverse.
