I'm sure many of you have seen or own these beautiful 10 oz. bars. I've been trying to find which mint produces them. Does anyone know??????????????

Ah i think it would be Wall Street Mint,WSM plastered over the back of the bars. Originals have not been made for years, perhaps 15 or so,the bars you see today that are wrapped and shiny are not originals

I believe they were produced in 2002 by the Northwest Territorial Mint to remember those lost during 9/11.

Now only available on the secondary market.

Make sure you buy the ones still in the mint sealed plastic pouch.

I've bought many times from Northwest...this is not one of their products.

Several years ago I bookmarked the manufacturer on my old computer which died before I could afford their minimum purchase which was 500 ounces. Now I have the money, but I can't retrieve the information from the fried hard drive. I bought "mint fresh" small lots on ebay 2, maybe 3 years ago. Considering the premium they commanded over spot...why would they be discontinued?

They were produced in 2002, as a one off run not produced after that.

I sent an inquiry to Medallic Arts...and got a reply from Northwest. They said they make many beautiful bars and would also custom mint anything I wanted. I got their email too late to respond today. Will contact them Monday.

Would anyone else be interested in these, or is this just a personal quest?

Nwtmint has a bad habit of dragging out shipping their product. So far they have always shipped but have lost my confidence.

Yeah...That's why I stopped buying from them. My last order took 16 weeks from order date to delivery.

Now I buy my private mint stuff from Golden State Mint. I love their incused indian design. Order to delivery is 10 days to 2 weeks.
