Which coin will you value most : Proof with a lot of mintages or Uncirculated with much less mintages. ? Example : Baseball HOF gold coin. Proof = 32000 minted Uncirculated = 18000 minted.
In the case of the gold HOF, I'd go with the proof even with the higher mintage. Especially if you get them graded. The differences between the mintages isn't that great. The proofs should command the higher premiums.
