    well i don't think they will react instantly it's more of a long term reaction but certainly Russia is aiming to really hurt the US dollar

    The rouble has actually fallen slightly against the US dollar over the last 12 hours and over the last month has fallen without splitting hairs nearly 5%

    But this is interesting nonetheless , a lot of countries are by passing the US dollar for doing major commodity trades including the UK.

    IMO This is the beginning. Yes the rouble will fall against the UDS following this announcement - the US financial system still has lots of strings to pull and they will have had a major fright that this has begun. They will be in fight or flight mode, the question is can they divide those external powers? If Russia and China can work together on ousting the USD its a done deal. If they enter into their own power struggles over control of international trade the US has a chance to keep their ponzi ship afloat.

    Ho hum......not really news....perhaps they could organise to buy and sell oil and gas with turds instead ....a lot more reliable than the Rouble...and not controlled by gangsters....etc etc.
    If you think this will have an impact on the u.s. Dollar then you have been smoking toooo much whoopie weed.
    Depth baby depth.
    The rouble is but a pond compared to the ocean of depth in the u.s. Dollar.
    Who really wants to trade in rouble?

    I've touched on geopolitical differences here before.

    This is not good news for the dollar and may prove positive for gold and silver in the not so distant future.

    Time will tell....it always does (-;
