someone posted this over at BullionStacker forum. So much for rumours on RCM finally found a way to get rid of milk spots...

we have seen spotted falcons, and now spotted maple leaves. I guess all 2014 RCM silver bullion are no different from any previous year releases.

Hmm. That's for the 2014 maples. How about the peregrine falcons? Some members here simply don't believe they have milkspots.

do check the falcon thread, I think its still on the 1st page in our Silver Coins sub-forum. Our fellow member Trishanho posted a photo of his spotted falcon.

The RCM is simply put, a piece of Sh*t mint. They will never earn one cent of my hard earned business...be it bullion, semi or numi. The birds do spots. Sinful white spots!!

Got a tube of 25 year Anniversary and a tube of Falcons.
Checked them all and everyone is totally free of milk spots.
I have a decent stack of RCMs and very few have spots so maybe there is a screening and you guys that are getting the sh*t might need to change your suppliers ? Just a thought because my spotty Maples originated from a supplier that I will never use again whilst my other suppliers have provided clean coins. I wonder if the Mint has a QC system / inspection and the sh*ty coins are sold marginally cheaper ?

A milk never changes its spots. I think philharmonics are prone to spots too. The next choice will be silver eagles at $0.50 - $1 a coin more. Although this sounds little, it actually increases your premium by 10 to 25percent compared to maples and philharmo, which usually has the same buyback with dealers at spot.

Therefore, I just don't see how people will stop buying maples knowing spots will occur at some point.

I'm wondering if there is something to what you are saying. Just went through 6 tubes of 2014 maples and a tube of the 25ths--all perfect and flawless. ???

Yeap that will be the case. There are rumors floating around saying that RCM has revised their minting process and eliminated milk spots issue on their bullion coins.

... and that is so not true.

Will never buy anything from RCM ever again (maybe). I have no idea how a mint can not give a crap about their quality and customers for so many years because ....."ehh, well they still sell" Worst mint ever.
