Yeah I really like this one, isn't a 1mill mintage the norm for canadian mint?

Quite a nice coin that. Better than most of the last six-coin Canadian Wildlife bullion series.

That pic of the real coin looks way better than the CGI images.

I heard there will only be 4 coins in this series not 6 like the wildlife series.
Wonder if anyone will be offering a nice box to hold the set ?

Best bet is to just get a 4 coin presentation box, the boxes I got for the Wildlife series were pretty low quality.

I guess its a 'seasonal coin'... current pic is summer flight, when the milk spots come in, it'll look like the peregrine is flying through a snow storm...

Haha, yes. A bigger problem is that the winter will never turn into spring and summer again. :)

You would have to be mad to buy this.. you will lose $4 per coin after 2 years.

Unless you're buying those that comes individually wrapped in sealed packaging from the mint!

Exactly! I just ordered 900 of these sealed in those mint sheets for a group buy on another forum. The absolute only way I would buy RCM bullion that has a higher premium than a Maple.

I bought 1 to see what it will look like, but only one, because of the milk spots issue with Canadian mint coins.

I just got mine from MCM and it is a very nice coin. It is a little higher cost than a standard Maple but I think that is fine. I'm sure it will be a nice coin to have in the future. It is really beyond my stacking interest and goes more into semi-numi but I am very happy with it. Can't wait to see the rest of the series.

1 million mintage isn't that big in a world market. Look at all the premium for modern pandas, which now have a substantially larger mintage. RCM supposedly deployed new minting technology to remedy the milk spot issue as well.

Not a huge fan of this series, i preferred the 6 coin series previous. Mainly due to the background art as opposed to the a plain pic of the birds.

    Tristanho,

This is the first I have heard of this coin having milk spots, not good news given all the talk about the new process fixing that issue! Can you post some pictures? I'm sure many here will want to see this.
