And all day long you will have good luck.

Yes we all know that, what I didn't know is there is a second verse to this.

    See a Penny
    Hold it tight,
    And luck will last
    From morn till night

So when I saw a 1920 penny with this little card, I had to have it.

Who knows the 1920 may be something special. For a few $ worth a gamble.

What other sayings are there around money and luck ?

I don't know about luck but I was taught
"if you look after your pennys and your pounds will look after themselves"
and "penny wise is pound poor"
two sayings that contradict each other

    "Where there's muck, there's brass"

i.e. Wherever there's a dirty job that no one wants to do, there's an opportunity to make good money.

    Best quote;?

My addition - Bit of ba*tardis*tion of another quote.

"A fool and his money were lucky enough to get together in the first place"

Doesn't contradict "look after your pennys and your pounds will look after themselves", - Different concept / situations.

Id say, one of biggest ways to get ahead in business / financially is to have the ability to recognise when to spend big money and when not to

In for a penny, in for a pound.

    A penny for your thoughts.

    Not worth tuppence.

    A 'bob' each way. (Shilling)

Wouldn't give you 'two bob' for it.
    ( sometimes 'tuppence ha'penny' for it )

@serial I remember hearing it as "penny wise and pound foolish" or sometimes "penny wise but pound foolish"
