I was having a think if I had a coin that I would never part with or leave till last to part with. I cant say I do, but the freedom girl would probably be one of my last, love that round.

So what about you, do you have a favorite in your collection?

Will never sell my kilo Aztec. The intricate detail, history and all round awesomeness makes it a great showpiece

2012 carded Koala (It's the sleeper)

    Followed by...series 2

    2008 2oz Ag Mouse

    2008 5oz Ag Mouse

    2011 5oz Ag Rabbit

    2011 10oz Ag Rabbit

    2011 10oz Ag Koala

To part from the above while spot is lowyou would have to be brain-dead!

The rabbits...especially the 5 and 10 oz are the sleepers! The 2oz rabbit is "The Coin" (Check ebay sales...don't sell it cheap)

The 2012 Koala is hated and...just like the 2010 Koala that was also a dud for many years has now gained popularity.

Of all the coins...I wouldn't sell the 5oz Rabbit!

    Think about it.
The lunars you mention have increased in price while spot has decreased.... spot I irrelevant to these coins.
It is actually much wiser to part with these coins while spot is low. Investment logic.

What a coincidence I was looking at this coin today and had the same thought.

For me it would be coins gifted by family members.

For example our great grandmother handed down some gold liberty coins form the 1900s that were used as jewellery buttons.

I have my Kilo dragon which I nearly couldn't afford and then the price of silver crashed, I like it, same design as the other dragons of course but nice and big. I am designing a display box for it so it would be a shame to just keep an empty box.

    Everything is for sale :)

But I do like Philharmonics and a Maples.

    Gold or silver in either.

I do like my 1.7 oz Mayan but I would sell it if silver hits about $28 or more.

    You've specifically mentioned rounds.

If you'd said rectangles I'd have said I love PAMP Lady Fortuna 1 oz silver bars.

My favorites. Have 8 of these 2008's bad boys in their raw form. 2 more to go. And the other one I won't part with is the Great Wall. Very Rare.

Everything is for sale at the right price. While love a few of my gold coins, re silver, i think only a few 37/38 crowns and others would remain.
Metals are just a commodity and a means to get my family a lifestyle that they want.

Amen to most of what you said, but I'd say they're more than JUST a commodity. IMHO.
