No, I don't think so. Only big dealers like the Bank of China and some authorised shops sell Chinese Pandas here, and seems that they don't accept overseas orders. You may need to look for individual sellers online.

It seems like the germans have a delay of 2 months with this very nice 5 oz panda
maybe it got something to do with the quality ??

Nothing to do with quality, the mint just sold out of it's entire initial allotment extremely extremely quickly, causing some dealers and distributors to miss out on this first batch. The next batch is due to be released in April lines up with your delay of 2 months.

We were lucky enough to confirm our order which I'm expecting to be delivered in the next week or so.

IMHO don't need to rush. Just wait and buy one from MCM slabbed at PF69UC at below issue price.

Just be patient. When the initial demand subsides,I don't know if MCM gets a deal or what but you will see MCM flood the market.

    recently I've got 2013 5 oz ms69 from MCM for $320
gonna flip it as having 10x1oz pandas makes more sense as an investment
2014 will be lower than this

good buy ................ what is your rational behind the statement that the 2014 will be less??:) I am just wondering? ,because they are the same mintage 50,000 as last year ,2)my folks tell me a huge amount of 2014 where sold as gifts on the mainland for the lunar New year and the buy price is rising in China, look on ebay very few for sale 3) as far as an investment let me start by saying everyone spends there money the way they want to ............. me personally I would not even think about trading that 2013 5 oz for 10 1oz coins with a mintage of 8 million ,when I am holding a coin with 50,000 mintage ,everyone trashes the 5 oz coins ,but look at the facts 2009 $600 if you can find one, 2010 $550 all day ,2011 500/600 ,anyone smart enough to buy the 2012 anniversary coin?? you can sell all you have at 600/700 , that 2013 @MCM for 320 you did very well :),keep in mind they cost 50usd to grade even with MCM,s bulk discount they cost him 30 , I am a buyer at 320 all day long:)on 2013 graded by ngc ms69

The 2014 5 Oz and 1 Kg is lower price as compare to 2013 5 Oz and 1 Kg sell at panda America Singapore.

Big coin easy to get white spot even is proof coin as compare to the normal 1 oz BU coin.

MCM sell cheap BUT high shipping cost to Asia.

I compare the price for the coin issued last year to the coin of current ones - so, if I could get ms69 2013 5 oz in 2014 for $320 then 2014 should be worth less, right?

then, when you compare 2009 5 oz, let's compare:
    1) its mintage 10k (2009) vs 50k (2014); let's compare price at issue of 2009 vs 2014 - (don't know about 2009) - $270 (2014)
    2) 2009 1 oz mintage / 5 oz mintage = 600k/10k = 60 vs 2014 8 mln/50k = 160 ...
3)How many 1 ozers could be bought for the price of 5 ozer. How many 1 ozers could be bought for 1x5 ozer's price in 2009?
    4) collectors who will be hunting down to complete the sets will be limited to the lowest mintage, in our case it is 10k ... In extension of these 10K, i.e. 40k 5 ozers will be animals of another sort ... and with the price rise they will be on par with 1 oz peers or less.

Buyers of these high priced coins are not flippers, moreover what you see for sale it is "buy it now" and not auctions so they tend to stay for sale for months ... as of auctions, take a look at ebay finished ones http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odk...9+silver&_nkw=5+oz+panda+2009+silver&_sacat=0
    314 - reserve not met
    410 - sold
    465 - sold
$450 is an optimistic average, not $600, while for 2009 1 oz coins the results are way better.
    ( last 2012 pf70 went for 530, common ones for 370-450)
When compared one should look not what sellers want for their coin but what buyers are actually paying for them.

That is a reason why I decided to move from 5 ozers, and better diversify into stock horses, somalia elephants, earlier pandas, God-knows-what else. Investment-wise they are better bet than current 5 oz coins.

    Hi Worldnubble,

5 OZ and 1 Kg items are good to collect BUT making profit is in question due to the demand and supply. This is reflecting by the mintage which 1 OZ is much higher than 5 OZ and 5oz is much higher than 1 KG and so on.

You will not buy the same quantity of 1 oz and 1 KG if you are seller. This is fact and common sense. However, you might buy same quantity like let say less than 2 pieces for 1 oz, 5 oz and 1 kg if you are collector who bear collection in mind rather than investment or profit.

    andrewlee10,
from collectors point of view it doesn't matter what the price is or will be ... the only thing that matters is collection
but from investor's point of view it does matter ... that's what I was referring to, coz I want not only stack silver coins but I want stack silver coins that rise in value. Here as I said 5 oz are lagging 1 oz coins.

    Hi Worldbubble,

Yes, we are at same page.

I might be out of topic in this thread for the following reply.

It is a different between Bullion (BU) coin, numic and semi-numic. 5 OZ and 1 KG panda are proof coin(numic) rather than BU coin. This is the reason it charge super high premium on top of silver spot rate. Therefore, you need to decide on your strategy for silver coin stacking.

I bear collector point of view when buy bigger(ore than 1 oz) panda coin for pleasure.

I wear another hat when I buy Perth mints bigger bullion coin :)

You can check the price of 1985 Hong Kong International Coin Exposition 5 OZ panda medal. you will be surprise of the price and rareness. However, this is exceptional of 5 oz panda coin.
