Hello everyone, I have been trying to join here for a while but I had issues with the registration process. I am not new to stacking. Started in 1998 and never looked back. I have been viewing this site for several months after hearing mention of the site on BS. I see a lot of folks I know from that site as I have been a BS member from the begining and cant say enough about the good folks on that forum. I stacked ASE's for years and within the last 5 years or so I started branching out into semi numi coins. In the early 2000's I read all I could find on Panda's and for a little over a year I bought every one that I could afford. That paid of well as I sold most of them in the last year or so. Now days I seem to be drawn to the Lunars and just completed a set of 2 ounce series 1 Lunars and looking for a new project. One more important thing before I close is the fact that I am a Taku Turtle junkie. I cant seem to get enough of them Most of the folks at BS know this and pass along some pretty good deals from time to time. I am looking forward to hanging out and snaggin a few Turtles along the way. Mr Ed
Hi and welcome! Since you're a taku turtle junkie, is it true that there is a limited mintage for the 2011 5oz Fiji Takus?
Hi Ed and welcome. Do you own any 1oz 2010 Takus? If yes, do your coins have a halo surrounding part of the Queen's head? All of my 2010 Takus have the halo and every photo of the coin that I have seen also shows the halo. Since there are supposedly only 10,000 of the 2010 Takus, maybe they were all made in one run and all have the same defect. At least that is what I am hoping.
I see that on every one of the 2010's AND I also see it on a number of 2011's. I have 2 versions of 2011. Some have a proof like look on the Queen side with the halo look and others dont. It is very easy to tell the difference if you have both versions. Thanks for the welcome and keep buyin them Turtles before I do Mr Ed
Hi and welcome Mr Ed from the home that produce and mint the Taku coin New Zealand Mint here in Auckland
BS is a website called Bullion Stacker. It was started by a few Kitco members that bailed due to too much moderation. A great bunch of guys and some great deals. You should check it out. I would like to thank everyone for the warm welcome and look forward to spending a little time here. Mr Ed
