    Hi

I received a damaged bullion coin from a dealer. The damage is minor on the coin and the capsule is deeply scratched. It looks like the damage didn't occur during transportation.

Should I be concern and return the coin to the dealer?

If it was the same price as coins of the same type, certainly yes.

Yes...just be polite and ask for an exchange...most dealers are pretty good.

Was it discounted or did you pay a standard price (Average price)?

    What coin was it?

    Cheers

The coin was a 2013 Kookaburra and wasn't discounted so I will ask for an exchange.

May be simpler to request a new capsule to be sent out. Genuine capsules are available to distributors.

Yes, send it back as not only capsule but coin itself has scratches. Good dealer should send you replacement without any problem.

Send it back and ask for a replacement. THEY should pay for return shipping not you. If they can't or won't replace it with a problem free coin and capsule get a refund with them paying for return shipping.
