I thought i'd start a thread which lists exchanges which are not so eager (as is the norm - especially in Australia) to store and provide all your personal details to any and all government agencies who come snooping around for more funds to steal.

    Here's my first candidate ....

    https://www.cryptxchange.com/

Temporarily closed, but should be back up by the New Year ..

Get you bookmarks sorted out chaps!

I know - which is why i didn't cross them out. Some of these i don't know, and have therefore let them be for now. But the crossed out ones definately need your full pedigree in order for you to anything worthwhile. In fact Coinjar may need to be crossed out as well from 1 December ... which is a great pity as they have been pretty excellent up until this point.

I saw this today on their website:

    Important notice about withdrawals

Customer identification will be required for all withdrawals (including sell orders) starting from 1 December 2013.

This pretty much means you cannot
    1. withdraw/move bitcoins (which you may have deposited there or purchased there) to your paper wallet or to another exchange
    2. even sell bitcoins there (without even withdrawing the fiat)
    from 1 December going forward...

In fact, this is do draconian when i come to think about it that i'll scratch them out so long

Looks very interesting but more for the serious traders who use leverage.

    Bitstamp just rejected me twice!

They don't accept electronic bills for proof of address. Fantastic: literally all my bills are electronic bills!

    :p

    Fantastic, just fantastic!

Just print the bill out on a colour printer and then scan it. They cannot prove that it was not a paper bill. Just lie and insist it is...

Else tell them to turtle themselves!

I reckon that pretty soon we'll see a whole heap of exchanges popping up which espouse the original intent and spirit of crypto currencies - the RIGHT TO PRIVACY AND ANONYMITY!

The one i highlighted in my first post is but one. I'm sure there are others and they will be growing in number because there is a very strong requirement for this amongst freedom loving people.
Eventually exchanges such as mtgox and the Australian exchanges who seem to be only too eager and pleased to kiss government butt and shun their own clients of whom the overwhelming majority i'm sure are not at all happy with their draconian requirements and invasion of privacy and will ultimately vote with their feet ...

Bring on the competition i say!!

Why do I sense you are channelling Yippe-Ki-Ya...

Why do I sense you ARE Yippe-Ki-Ya...

Wait... why do you and Yippe-Ki-Ya share IP addresses...

FFS - that's a banning offence for both accounts.
