    There is your problem.

You must eyeball the actual person hiring you, not send an email or talk on the telephone. It must be face to face!

Was it multiple choice or short answer? When doing the theory before the test, don't most assessors basically hint at what the answers are?

Why can't you find an unskilled job outside of mechanical while you wait for a job in your chosen field? Why don't you do labouring, cleaning, pour beers or wash dishes or something while you wait for a mechanical job to come up or at least while your training and developing new skills? You could walk into an unskilled job tomorrow if you really wanted to and it would still pay better than the dole. I think you're blaming the economy for personal reasons as to why you say you can't find a job.

The training manuals 100 pages.......The questions are no where near easy to read.....One per asian guy only got half way through within two hours....... I'm pretty good at English and grammer but this was just wrong allbecause of some wanker at worksafe that probably never actually fixed or even operated a forklift before?

    Fuckin beauracratic bullshit!

The failure rate could not be that high you would think on a forklift course, these days courses are designed for everyone to pass. If to many people do not make it through they normally rewrite the assessments to make it easier and make the statistics look better.what percentage do you need to get?

Don't know what all the fuss is about
I've gone for mine twice in 8 years ( first time I didn't have enough time to pay for the license )
Just skimmed through the paper work
Once the instructor had seen me on the forklift & my ability to steer :D
Did the paperwork real quick ;)
zipped through the driving test ;)
And got kicked out the door within 2 hours on each day :D

Last time I paid for the license myself as the dole office were making me jump through too many hoops to get it
They wanted me to do a "wharehouse " course for over a month

When you spend years shuffling car bodies in wrecking yards , stacking them 3 high
You get a feel for it :D

I'm telling you its not that easy anymore....The tester watches absolutely everything and marks of lots of paper work....... I been operating forklifts for ten years and i still failed the questionare because of stupid confusing questions.

This license is for 'LO' or also called Stockpicker.....Not standard LF license........ The tester said many times that worksafe have made it much more stringent and they come down on him very hard if he does'nt do the testing to their rules and regs.

Ah o.k.....he did say we have an option to choose another tester for the second test if we did'nt like him.......Point is worksafe will shut his business down when they audit him.....They literally go through his paper work and make sure he's not signing people off with wrong answers.

Sounds easy to claim this then scam people out of two or three test fees, and coach you through the test when he think's your tap of money is about to run out.
