I will be looking soon for a gold nugget around the 7g - 10g range and am just wondering how much per gram is a fair price to pay. Thanks in advance for any info
Premium you say? :/ I wouldn't even pay SPOT for them, as refining cost money not mentioning lost of weight due to impurity. Some people collect them, but then people collect stamps or paper notes... Disclaimer: no value has been added by this post - just a rant.
I thought they were worth more as nuggets as nuggets are getting harder to find. Also they look pretty nice over quartz. Certainly wouldn't buy one with the intention of refining it but I have been after one to give as a gift to my wife.
I have bought some through heavymetalholdings who I believe is also a member here, great little nuggets. But yes, you will be paying premium over spot, from memory $50-$55 per gram.
premium?? nuggets are free. well almost free, a small outlay for equipment, vehicle, fuel, a bit of time and a bit of searching and a bit of digging and a bit of traveling, but other than that you just go and get them. If you are too time-poor to go and get them, I'll do it for you for say.... 50 bucks a gram? just let me know what size you want.
If you can get me a 10g nugget with no quarts or ironstone inclusions I will happily give you $500 for it
can I put silver rfid tags on you, so when none is moving, I go pick up nuggets and borrow the equipments
