Hi folks. I have been reading the forum for a while now, and thought it was about time I spoke up and said hello. I am pretty new to stacking, but am already spending more time (and money) than I had expected on it. I am trying to balance my buys between coins and bars, and gold and silver. I divide my time between here and Canada and would be curious to hear if anyone has any thoughts on the relative popularity of various products on either side of the Pacific. If you were building a stack that might move from one place to the other, what would you get? Thanks for your input!
Hi and welcome to the forum! I move quite a bit between Singapore and Canada as well. Though I stack from normal bullion coins (maples, silver eagles) to semi-numismatics (silver pandas) to rare and vintage stuff (old silver bars).
After moving a few times within Aus, I wish I had bought more gold than silver! Silver is obviously less transportable so if you're definitley planning on a move, would be prudent to factor in transport costs (or storage costs if you're happy to leave physical in another country). Maybe look into unallocated as an option. Whatever is popular is always the best to stack for liquidity purposes so any bullion from the PM would be a good choice to stack here and ASE's and Maples for Canada. You'll get the premium back when/if you sell. And of course, welcome
