I found out that there will be a limited run very special version of this medallion in which the gown can actually be fully removed from the female figure on this medallion.

Is it released on April 1st?

I lost interest in Duanes coins when he started putting assault rifles on them...this one is nice though, I'll admit that

Yes, that is the release date...you must have heard from the same source. :)

The symbolism and the artistic qualities of this medallion are right on the mark in my view.

Agreed on the losing interest part. Though I am 100% a supporter of our 2nd Amendment and I believe that people should have the right to defend themselves with deadly force if confronted with a threat to their life, I have found that there is a psychotic mentality often coupled with gun fanatics and those who think that somehow it's cool to throw a gun or bullet images onto anything or everything.

It would be no different than countries like Saudi Arabia or Israel putting nuclear missile images on the items they feel proud to offer for public consumption. Like really, that's what you really think is going to make the world a better or safer place....more symbols of violence and death?

That said, I feel Duane has come a long way, I'm glad that he has and glad for him for that, and I hope his journey of "opposite consciousness" is far from over because he indeed has still a ways to go before he can claim he represents the opposite consciousness.

Haven't bought any of the series, but I might get some of those. Depends upon the quality of the coins they are producing now.

In the video, Duane openly acknowledges that his design is inspired by the Virginia seal - the concept isn't entirely original of course but there are a number of original concepts incorporated within Duanes version of virtue conquering tyranny.

I agree with you 100% I have really just never got into his rounds. The weird part is I am a gun nut but I will not buy coins with guns on them. I do however like this particular round.

    Her face looks too masculine.

I think maybe instead of the Buffalo the next xag round should have a Greek goddess. Sales should triple based on the reaction to this new round.

+1, doesn't have to be Greek though, nor a goddess. Just chuck Kylie Minogue on it.
