Fatcat bureaucrats discussing our futures in secret and politicians signing off on it all.

I hope everyone enjoyed their day of democracy a few weeks ago.

This surely is not true. :) Tony and his Blue Team wouldn't do such a horrible thing, would they?

Oh. I forgot that the Liberal Party is a Corporation. That explains it.

Here's the DFAT page link. Includes all submissions, FAQ etc. It's not a new thing and has been slowly progressed for years (since at least 2010). New Zealand is already a member.

The Gillard govt rejected the Investor-State Dispute Settlements clause. Too bad Rupert Murdoch and his henchmen did such a job on her, but then again that's probably why they did.

Yes just because it's not of interest to the viewers of Today Tonight and goes unreported, doesn't make it secret.

Theres always two versions of whats happening. What gets shown on TV with very little detail is not secret, The version behind closed doors with the nitty gritty detail IS sercret.

Notice that R.P.'s position is based on negotiating random preferential agreements from a position of having high barriers rather than the Australian situation of (largely) negotiating access into a barriered country from a position of openness with all.
