Getting rather concerned about the situation in Syria with the increasing likelihood of precision munitions attacks from the West in the next week or so.
That might prompt Iran to attack Israel to get the conflict moved up a quantum level.
    Start of WW III ?
Hope not, but any sudden intervention by the USA and allies is bound to have a big impact on gold and silver as it always has done in the past.
Time to sell or buy ?
Might not matter if the world is about to end.

Iranians are not stupid and if history is any guide, they have not invaded any country for several 100's of years.

Why would they launch an attack against Israel?

I forget off the top of my head, but I believe thousands of ounces of silver goes into each missile. This can only be a good thing for the price of silver!

Correction. It must be more like thousands of ounces of silver goes into each round of missile attacks. All good.

I must admit that whilst I have heard all sorts of justification for warfare put forward by the MSM, this is one that I have not heard of prior. Any link?

Not really a justification. Amerika has their little proxy army in the ME in Israel, which it supplies with funding, training, weapons and orders and Russia has theirs... it is only logical for two proxy armies vying for a strategically resourse rich region to have a ding dong. It sorta allows super powers to scrap without threat of nuclear warfare. Sorta like korea... veitman... afganistan.... afganistan II etc... Not really new in this section of the world (ME) look at the Ptolemaic wars

Perhaps. However, in this case, Israel does have nuclear weapons.....

Correction, Amerika's proxy army is Al Qaeda and as has been for decades.

The so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA) now has many Islamic Fundamentalists committing atrocities, ie beheadings and the rampant murder of civillians, women and children that don't fit in with their world view.

The US and NATO are aiding and abetting these atrocities in an effort to blame Assad and garner international support to remove him from power.

Now I'm not suggesting Assad is a Saint but if you really believe that Assad is responsible for this recent chemical weapons attack against his own civillian population five minutes after the inspectors landed then I have an igloo to sell you in the Sahara! - Cui Bono!

This is just more WMD bullshit from the US.

China and Russia want middle east oil. America wants hegemony.
That's the crux of the problem.

Just another good proxy spun by western government and their equally morally wrong media organisations.

This chemical attack occurred in Syrian Army occupied territory. Now why would they shell their own strongholds with chemical weapons for...

France supports the 'rebels' more commonly known as terrorists in Syria, yet they strike the terrorists in Mali... The US fights a war on terrorism in Afganistan, yet arm terrorists in Syria...

The bankers, oil company's and arms company's are the major winners of all wars. The sheeple do the fighting and pay the price tag.

Russia's position will be very interesting over the coming weeks and months. They can simply turn of the energy supply to Europe whenever pushed to do so. No energy wont get European economies very far.

And so they will suddenly dig all new oil pipes to other countries? Russia is also dependant on buyers, not only buyer on Russia.

It's clear that every time "West" involve in some conflict only bigger mess comes out...

    Thread has missed the point.
If the West ( USA, France, UK etc. ) launches cruise missiles into Syria in the next few days, this in theory will trigger a response from allies of Syria but especially Iran.
Chemical weapons inspectors are on site today but political leaders have probably already decided action ahead of the inspectors report. Syria has blatantly crossed the red line and the rest of the world has to respond or loose credibility so a punitive strike is inevitable. Iran has publicly declared it will react if the West attacks Syria and it would be ineffective for Iran to send missiles into the Mediterranean threating USA or UK ships so their best option to create maximum impact is to attack Israel. After all they hate each other. That gives Israel the green light to flatten all Iranian nuclear sites, which they are itching to do. An attack on Israel will essentially be an attack on the USA so who knows what would hapen next. The amount of PMs in missiles is missing the point completely. If a war breaks out the world siezes dollars or ditches dollars and gold etc becomes the store of wealth so one would assume substantial price increases on the horizon along with oil.
