The average of my stack is $100, there is no way I could ever make a profit. Oh well I wont have to declare anything when I sell up to the tax man (icon needed)
I guess the average now is around 27-31 USD anywhere on the planet. I examined multiple dealers thoroughly. US, Australia are the cheapest, Europe is terrible with high premiums and with extra high fees, taxes added on top. Estonia charges no VAT on silver and here's one dealer that sells VAT-free silver within Europe: http://www.primevalues.org/investors-guide/lsg-002-08-11-013.htm CelticGold's prices are about 3 USD cheaper per ounce than other sellers. They're a Germany-based company who sell their silver through Estonia. Germany charges 7 % VAT on silver, the UK charges 20 %, but I heard rumours that they'll increase the German VAT to 19 %! I think there are very few places left in Europe where silver is still VAT-free! Recent rumours are talking about additional taxes on gold as well - in various countries in Europe.
By Golden Chipmunk: Oops, who scrolls down that far? That link should be higher up the page, not at the bottom, I didn't even know it existed. Hello all. Back on topic, it is a safe question, I'd say spot + premium =AU$25 oz. I could sell up now and make a small profit but I'm stackin' 'till............'the cows come home to roost' .
Haven't recalculated in a while but it must be around 30 AUD, unfortunately. Bought a big chunk at ~37 which has destroyed my average, even though have bought plenty in the 26-29 range since.
