Ouch...no wonder I haven't been getting any sales...Website charges $15+$2/item as a standard...going to see how I can work around this. Edit: Did the same thing I was doing with the stock horse...creating a separate listing for 5 pack, and 20 pack. Shipping in Canada: $10, in USA: $15, International: $47
Just bought 15...shipping was 19.00, so you only 'ate' 3. I had to get some just in case. I'm looking to get about 100, just waiting until the end of the month to get my bonus check. Im hoping i luck out and get them cheaper from you or my U.S friends. i didn't want to take any chances though. . I'm hoping they'll still be in sealed plastic wrap. I'm sure you can delicately cut it right? Cut 5 off and get my 15.
Don't want to sound like some prick, but aren't there separate topics for trading? Everyone has right for its own taste, but I remember how some people criticize Stock Horse and now when they saw the Lunar, they say it's not so bad...
Embargo has been lifted so posted some pics in the Lunar forum http://forums.silverstackers.com/topic-43987-enjoy-the-2014-lunar-horse-now-with-pics.html
Provident, Gainesville or Apmex will likely be the better buy for US customers. The 1oz silver coins should be available for a while. My purchase date will be based upon my expectations of the price of silver. If the premiums exceed last year's $6-8 premiums, I am out of there and will probably stop collecting the series. Gold coin premiums should be $80-$120. Again, the dealers should have the 1oz gold coins available for at least a few months. You don't want to wait too many months, as the dealers will likely raise the premiums. But there shouldn't be a need to rush out on Sept 2 and buy them. Last year, Provident didn't have them until after the other dealers.
Stock horse was triple spot.. This is ONLY $11 over spot... Both rip offs...but this is way less so.. More a silver speculation rather than banking on future popularity... But both are collectible speculation .. So I think I'll buy bullion at $2 over spot instead... Screw the heavy packaging and pretty image 1for1
Having seen the images for the horse, both silver and gold, I must admit that I am not enamoured with them. Whilst it is better than the dragons or snakes, that received rave accolades when released, it just does not do it for me. And I would not be surprised if they will not be sold out as quickly as some believe.
It depends when you bought the Horse. I've paid around 35 for them, and spot was around 15 for 1oz. I believe EU price will be the same for Lunar, maybe a little less. So it's basically the same to me, but Stock Horse has 30x smaller mintage. Well as is often said here... beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Question: how many 1oz proof horses will there be minted? (with the box and coa) Again 5000? Or 8500 this time?
