Hi guys, I recently started collecting silver coins. I started with a few singles from Ebay and took a plunge a couple of weeks back and got some maples, Eagles and a few other goodies from Bullion Bourse. I've spent most of my life collecting comics and other nerd memorabilia but have cut back and sold most of that over the last few years because silver has a better return. Damn, I wish that I started stacking years ago.
Thanks mate. Could you please direct me to the right place on these boards to discuss storage etc? Thanks in advance.
Ten years back looked really good when an ounce was less than ten bucks. A mate of mine started about 5 years back when he was paying around $16 an ounce. I just spent about a thousand recently and I'm considering getting more while the market is still reasonably low.
Welcome my friend. Nothing wrong with collecting comic books, Sheldon would be proud of you, but heaps better value in stacking silver
welcome to the forum. great site. long term view with no debt use and as a savings theory.. my 2 cents
Hindsight is always 20/20! As bullion has been traded for over 2000+ years, you are never too late to come on board. A great way to invest, as it is REAL unlike shares and requires less capital than property. What kind of comics did you collect?
Hello and welcome. I wish I started stacking in 2001, but back then such things weren't even close to being on my radar...
Hi, sorry for taking so long to answer your question, I only just noticed it as I was searching through my old posts. I mainly collected Vertigo and independent titles and the odd few mainstream titles. I gave up collecting monthly titles around 1999 and started collecting hardcovers and trade paperbacks about a year later. Over the years I cut back my collection but I still have a big bookshelf with my favourite books and and I still by the odd book occasionally. What about yourself, do you still read or buy any and what where you into?
Hey I can relate was going mad collecting reto games like Nintendo and Sega but moving on to silver for a while
