Hi All! I popped my head in on another thread and was immediately made to feel very welcome. Thank you again! My id probably bests describes me. My biggest problem is that with anything new, I tend to procrastinate rather than just do it. I have bought off eBay some silver coins at the beginning of the year, but put the idea of buying more on the back burner until in the last month or so when after eBay (I have a small store) moved the goalposts twice in a matter of months, then again in the last week. I realised that you cannot rely on someone or something to shape your future. You alone are responsible for your own destiny. The economy worldwide is too unpredictable for the average meat and 3 veg Aussie. So today I have made the first step. I've asked for advice about where to begin and within minutes I had offers of help which I greatly appreciate. I'm excited about buying silver and although I've probably left my run a bit late, I still feel good about taking control back. If I make mistakes, then I shall learn by them and along the way I shall have some fun. But, there will be no regrets or wondering what might have been.
I would say your timing has been very lucky, not seen silver prices as low as these for a long time. Most of us are licking our wounds after buying silver in the $30s. still at least with this forum you get to moan about it to people in the same boat, my family are sick of hearing it! Welcome
Thanks again Jislizard! But, if the world economy went belly up tomorrow, you're way ahead and you have secured your families future for them compared to someone with zero silver. The coins I purchased were in the mid $30s - $40. Not many, but I'll start in earnest now.
There are a lot of rich powerful people invested in keeping the world economy afloat, and they can reach into your bank account and take your money, they can increase GST or income tax or they can introduce new taxes, devalue the currency, stimulate the economy, any number of things to hold off the inevitable. While I think there will come a day of reckoning I don't think it will be for a while yet and I am hoping against hyperinflation. Silver is my insurance plan, I just hope I don't have to use it. I was also keenp to keep my buying power from being eroded through inflation, which I might have done but now it has been eroded through spot dropping. Still, in it for the long run!
Whoa Nana! Easy on that stacking girl! Btw danman49 might have a spare bumper car with your name on it...
