Today's Daily Reckoning: http://www.dailyreckoning.com.au/the-gold-bull-is-dead-long-live-the-gold-bull/2013/06/21/ Regards Acorn
Acorn, May be a strange question, but were you ever a member of a current affairs forum called Newstalkback'? OC
I've just about given up on the Daily 'bob each way' Reckoning. A better explanation is Bernanke is out the door at the end of the year and his successor wants a few more years to deal with bonds, which can't happen with stocks roaring. The 'system' has 3 - 10 years left to run before the armageddon reset and low gold tells the world that all is ok in the meantime. The 'con' in confidence as they say.
I'm not sure that the Australian system will last that long. We are in a serious government created debt spiral combined with crushing business and energy costs and our main resource customer just had a financial thrombo.
Okay I agree with you, and give up my subs to Daily Reckoning, but what do I replace it with? Appreciate any suggestions.... bax
Hi There Altima, Many Thanks for your advice, Great to see that we can help each other... And the very best of Health to you... bax
Thanks bax! Same to you too. Though you have to specify 5 stocks to keep track of. I recall putting GLD, GLDX, SLV and 2 others I can't remember. Also nice to subscribe to their daily email updates on the markets.
I am damned if I can see this world economic mess lasting 3 years before it all collapses. I would put at least some money on before this Xmas! JMO OC
The gold bull just got a shot of adrenalin and 400volts through the defibrillator paddles. That was the 10 year rate that just spiked to 2.54%. This has just cost the US north of $100 Billion. The sequester gone and more to come. The Bernanke is going to release some explanation about the taper. Not going to happen..they misunderstood what he said. ..then he will come out with more QE to try shove the rates down again. If this rate spike continues they are done. Game over! Don't worry about the metal prices watch the 10 year rate.
Never underestimate how long you can keep things running with some string, rubber bands, paddle pop sticks, and some tape... Just ask macgyver.
