Don't be surprised if it's only 1 coin per person

Badhamny, indeed he was nailed cross, for which I'm eternally grateful, because he will no longer use a hammer on me, but for you? Perhaps.

I've just got mine. It's not 1 per person either. I hope I haven't paid more through PM since I am in NZ at the moment!

No you didn't. Just prior to the release, NZ Mint had it listed at nz$155. The price surprised me as well as did the lack of limit per customer.
All that and I didn't bother since they mentioned the Eleven Doctor set

    MEDIA ANNOUNCEMENT

DOCTOR WHO'S TARDIS LANDS IN AUSTRALIA ON TRIBUTE COIN

The Perth Mint has struck a stunning silver tribute to mark the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, the World's longest running sci-fi show.

Appointed as the sole Australian distributor of the Doctor Who commemorative coin on behalf of New Zealand Mint, the local institution will produce the 1oz 99.9% pure silver coin which portrays a sculptured representation of the iconic TARDIS the Doctor's extraordinary ship which is bigger in the inside than the outside against a coloured background which represents multi-dimensional travel. A frosted border which carries the inscription DOCTOR WHO 50TH ANNIVERSARY 1963 2013 completes the mesmerising design.

Released by New Zealand Mint under official licence of BBC Worldwide Australia & New Zealand, the anniversary commemorative coin is issued as legal tender of the South Pacific island nation of Niue and features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2013 year-date and the monetary denomination on the obverse.

"As the exclusive supplier of this product in Australia, we will be able to bring this fantastic product to Doctor Who fans and coin collectors across the nation," said Ron Currie, Perth Mint Sales and Marketing Director.

"It is an historic year for the Doctor Who brand, and we are pleased that The Perth Mint is on board to bring this unique product to Doctor Who fans and coin collectors across Australia," said Rachael Hammond, BBC Worldwide ANZ's Senior Licensing Executive, Consumer Products.

The anniversary coin is packaged in a special presentation case moulded in the shape of the iconic TARDIS within a BBC branded shipper. The doors of the TARDIS open to a 'vworp vworp' sound to display the stunning collectable and a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Only 10,000 of these coins will be issued for sale worldwide. Priced at $115.00, the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who coin can purchased from The Perth Mint Shop at 310 Hay Street, East Perth or by telephoning toll free 1800 098 817 or by visiting the online shop at www.perthmint.com.au/DrWho
