A 1994 1oz Australian Kookaburra silver coin "gold clad". Hi Guys, I have done some searches online but can`t find anything mentioning this gold clad edition...It is fully clad (guilded) not just the Kooks. Has anyone come accross the likes before? BTW Im a newbie please excuse my ignorance. Thanks in advance
Hi and thanks for the quick responses. Yes it was bought on UK ebay from a respected coin dealer. Pictures added for you perusal. Cheers Source: Source:
It passes all the tests I am able to apply without getting destructive and dirty It weighs 31.9g and no magnetism.... Thanks once again for the input. Cheers
Check on web no hit with guilded 1994 kooks. Could be after market job. Electroplating. Just as blue kooks. Colour kooks with genuine coin painted.
Just weighed it and tested with a magnet as mentioned above...I`m quite new to this I`m afraid. Thanks
I wouldnt have thought so....this stacking thing isn`t as popular here as in Australia and USA....Cheers again.
It's an aftermarket job The plated cooks are gold only on the Kookaburra and NOT the entire coin And come in a round capsule in a clamshell style box
Looks more like even toning that plated. You can also check the dimensions - should be: 40.60 mm (diameter) 4.00 mm (thickness).
