A 1994 1oz Australian Kookaburra silver coin "gold clad".

    Hi Guys,

I have done some searches online but can`t find anything mentioning this gold clad edition...It is fully clad (guilded) not just the Kooks.

Has anyone come accross the likes before?

BTW Im a newbie please excuse my ignorance.

    Thanks in advance:)

    Maybe real - maybe not.
If the coin can be made then what do you think about the crapsule?

It passes all the tests I am able to apply without getting destructive and dirty :)

It weighs 31.9g and no magnetism....

Thanks once again for the input.

    Cheers

Check on web no hit with guilded 1994 kooks.
Could be after market job. Electroplating.
Just as blue kooks. Colour kooks with genuine coin painted.

    here there everywhere
    It's an aftermarket job
The plated cooks are gold only on the Kookaburra and NOT the entire coin
And come in a round capsule in a clamshell style box

I suppose it could be as the gold is not a deep 24ct yellow colour....its a much lighter shade.

Looks more like even toning that plated.

You can also check the dimensions - should be:
40.60 mm (diameter) 4.00 mm (thickness).
