In my opinion, It doesn't matter. A friend of mine that lives in Canada posted .99999 GOLD yes, (5) 9's GOLD maple leaf and it had spots like the measles. I couldn't believe it. I never thought a almost pure gold coin to have any spots. It's weird.

    100 CAD = 97.26 USD = 99.45 AUD

Immense price and I don't see anything very special about that coin!

I'd rather buy some collector's rare edition like a Perth Mint Year of the Dragon or something else...

You could buy 3 Kookaburras or almost 4 other "more ordinary" coins...

But I'd go for semi-numismatic: Kookaburras, let's say.

Black spot?? I think it may be the way they took the picture or the lighting and such. Maybe give us a link so we can look at it. These $100 bison are matte finish so if you look at the picture I post, it looks like there are black spots as well.

It is their signature. If there's no milk spot develop on their bullion, it's fake. They should use this slogan for their bullion. They use different machine for the bullion and numismatic coins. Obviously they care more about the numismatic coin because the price of numismatic coins usually have 4 or more time the price of the silver content in the coin.

I've seen maples, pandas and silver eagles with milk spots. Never a RCM NCLT coin though.

I laugh at all the Aussie RCM haters here! Let's check what 95 % of last years PM releases are doing.....I would say down 20% across the board.

Quite happy to have bought a bunch of these,, being the first in the series, they will do well.

LoL. everyone love to quote that article. That article published almost a year ago (yes, the date on that page is just today Date and NOT the published date). The process has been improved since then and many banks accept them in Canada.

Here's a snippet of how much the first $20 for $20 coin that sold on ebay:
