Some sad black and white photos.

    Be alert & alarmed

    http://rense.com/general95/greatdep.html

Would Gold & Silver helped them?

    PS...

Nephew who is an actuary said to Mrs Boneyard that I must be feeling the drop in fiat value of my stack.

My reply was... Wish I had more fiat to transfer.

My stack is mid to long term till things get better.

Anyone want to hazard a guess when that will happen?

    Comments welcome.

I work in retail, and have never seen it so quiet. Even 2008/09 was busier than this. All I think that's been achieved since then is TPTB have made sure all the worlds media and statisticians are reading from the same little book of positive affirmations. This central banker controlled system won't stand for alternatives to the ponzi paper they are pushing. Thus the fiat fractional reserve system has to collapse before any better alternatives can grow in it's place. Unfortunately for many this unilateral policy on what constitutes money will result in a huge amount of suffering in the western world when the shit finally hits the fan.

Equally pathetic modern day examples come to mind here in the West.

Things are looking pretty bleak now. However, there's light at the end of the tunnel. The key economic indicators are looking pretty solid, which bodes well for 2014, although it's only temporary. 2015-2017 could very well be boom years in the global economy, but things are most likely to start picking up at the end of this year.

Which indicators are looking 'pretty solid'?

IMO there's not chance of a recovery without some major economic pain first.

^^^ I work in construction, its pretty bad here at the moment, lots of tradies doing it tough.
Theres little to no work from newcastle to central coast, people are not spending money.

I know plenty of guys who have applied for newstart/abstudy allowance whilst they look for work or go back to tafe.A tiler i know went round the industrial estates yesterday handing out his resume & was told that all factories are putting off staff rather than employing them.

Everywhere now,i hear how many people are getting laid off today or so & so just lost their job.
Plenty of skilled miners losing their jobs too

Im looking at retraining & have started trying to learn new skills and hobbys in my spare time

I'm so going to get a black and white photo of myself wearing a flat cap and suspenders leaning against the entrance of a 7/11 general store sucking a slurpee staring off into the distance if the SHTF

Hope you'll have a $20 billion note to pay for that slurpee :). Of course you will, we'll all be billionaires by then.

I expect we will be taking pics of "Gillardvilles" and "Laborvilles" soon.

Skinny kids in rags begging for food, and komrade juLIAR telling them to eat cake.

More likely working families' kids in rags begging for food, while Centerlink recipients' kids live like kings.

If anyone is interested, they can try and get a copy of 'Weevils in the Flour' - Wendy Lowenstein, possibly from the local library, about 400 word pictures of day to day life during the Great Depression in Australia.

If you are not depressed now you will be after reading it. I am 100% convinced the next one will be far worse.

Yes gold and silver doubled in value overnight when the great depression hit. If these people had of stacked gold and silver pre depression they would have doubled in value and been able to sell to support their family during the hard times
