Is there any way to allow posters on the stocks thread to declare a possition similar to hot copper? I think it might be worth doing. Maybe having a little box to check that displays with the post
I post on stocks and wouldn't mind it but would vote against. Firstly someone who pumps and dumps isn't then going to be scrupulous and declare their true position. Secondly, stocks on this site are of secondary interest and the numbers reading, let alone swayed by content, would be miniscule cf market volume. So who's going to come here to ramp/downramp? Thirdly it doesn't stop suspicions and insinuations about ramping/downramping anyway. Most posters make it plain, directly or by inference, that they have a sentiment and a position in a stock by their posting content.
I'm not telling anyone what stocks I do & don't own. Use your judgment when reading a post on an internet forum.
Everybody has a sentiment. I was more assuming SS users to be honest, but it does put something in context if a writer has their own money on the line. I dont want the value of the position, just either that they have one or dont have one
