Just wanted to let everyone know about a site that launched this weekend. It's 100% free for all buyers and sellers. It's basically like a craig'slist for silver and gold. Why didn't someone do this sooner???!!!
Been done already And how about an intro first Maybe read the forum rules as well , no link for the first month
Sorry, i didn't realize the link posting rule. Anyway, it's not spam. It's an important site that I believe everyone on this forum would very much like to know about. If they're allowed too... Thanks.
@ Spannermonkey: Hey there. My name is Tom. I like silver and I like buying and selling it without someone in the middle taking a piece of the action on both sides. The site, SpotPriceMetals, will also include a link for Australia, probably this week. Take care. Tom
The problem is.... nobody wants to sell for spot price. Call it - 'Above Spot Price', and you might get a few people using it
I see the listings for silver rounds are around 15% + over spot price, but where the heck is this site getting their spot prices from??? GOLD = USD 1,694.51 and SILVER = USD 32.39... With a current spot price of of around $1426 for GOLD and $23.41 for SILVER...? Do they update the spot price bi-annually? Anyway, thanks again. I'll poke around some more when i get more time... Tom
@ SilverSale: Yup. I agree with you. Also, nobody wants to sell below spot. I had a coin shop, who sold me junk silver at .72 x spot, offer to buy it back for 37% less than what they sell for... You can post your listings at SpotPriceMetals for what ever you want. Comex prices are bunk anyway, everybody knows that. Should have a link for Australia by week's end. Take care, Tom
A problem with your website is that it assumes North America is the only place on Earth. Right now you need to get as many people posting ads as possible to get it recognised as a place worthy of visiting. Not catering for people outside North America counters that. One good way to look at it is, your website is in English, and therefore at minimum should cater for every country where English is the major language. Don't forget your on the 'World Wide Web', not 'North American Wide Web'.
Hi Nik. Thank you for your feedback. I do appreciate it. The site, SpotPriceMetals, just became available for use this weekend hence the lack of ads, traffic and the availability you described. I plan to have an Australian site delivered by the end of this week. I'll also build additional English speaking nation sites as time permits. Thanks again and please check back at SPOT PRICE METALS . com. Take care, Tom
Its best not to launch it until its ready. If people look, then they are only going to look once, and if they don't like it they will never return. 'SpotPriceMetals' does't give any indication of what the website is about either. EDIT: Actually, 'SpotPriceMetals' is flawed by design, because not everyone - if not most - will set their bullion prices at spot price. Which means people will see your website as being full of shit. You gotta start over. This project is flawed. Sorry I have to say it so bluntly, but I seen a billion of these start up projects crash.
I hate ads such as this thread. Puts a bad taste on your persona i think motlynch. Welcome to SilverStackers though. I look forward to you contributing articles on world wide events, and participating in discussions on this forum that inform and contribute the running of this forum instead of just trying to get something out of it and send members to other parts of the web.
Your example of "Selling Silver Eagles $1 over spot" means it is over spot. So at current spot of 22.77 you are nearly 5% over spot on your sample ad. The site name implies you are selling at spot, you are not, so not worth visiting.
