Got my usual email from the Perth Mint that their coloured numi's are "selling fast" Still sticking to a price of $104 for the 1 ounce coins. When silver was last at this price (around $22) back in mind 2010, Perth Mint collectable coins used to be in the $70's from memory. I'd seriously doubt they will get ANY sales with a price of $104 ?

maybe they can make some egg shaped coins featuring the faces of the people at the perth mint who make the prices for these things. they are doing a dandy job

I think that people is tired of such high PM prices for no reason.
I agree that a numis product coming in proof quality, with box and coa, coloured or something and limited mintage should cost more, but they pushed it too far.
That's why a lot of coins are not selling out anymore, not even nice coins like Mythical Creatures, Deadly and Dangerous, Dragons of Legend, Map Shaped etc.
Let's not talk about lunar snake coins in any shape / size / colour / kind etc. which for me can stay on their shelves forever.

PM does adjust the prices of numis occasionally - expect it to take a few weeks though, they're not a bullion item, and the cost of the silver in them at time of production is factored into the sale price, they would hardly be hedging them.

At most the numis will only drop by a couple dollars. $5 max if we are lucky this time due to huge drop of spot price.
In the past only $2-3 drops and I had seen dealer did not even pass on the drop with the excuse being the shop was not notified of the change in price or it cannot be bothered by price changing of PM.
There was the lunar snake death and now it is time for the death of the PM numis.

It serves you right if youre sucker enough to buy modern numistic coins. Unless you get lucky and stock up on something that becomes revered youre most likely going to lose.
If I were ever to get in the numi game itd be older coins or chinese. All these mints coming up with overpriced collectBles is just a ploy to get your hard earned cash.
