I have been thinking about playing the SLV paper market for a while, not a lot,say 10k. I was hoping someone could give me the tip on how to go about setting up an account? Any help would be much appreciated.
I think you're in the wrong forum bretto. This is a Bitcoin Forum for those interested in Stacking Bitcoins, Kitco do a PM forum if you're into gold or silver. And wrcmad a member here has posted about paper trading fairly often I think, try a search under his username.
I can see how the title of this subforum could be confusing, it's here to help people get the information they need to swap their worthless silver to bitcoins, in the buying and selling section.
If you're so inclined, open an online trading account with Interactive Broker, and buy on weakness, sell on strenght by owning a many price point on the grid as possible. I used to do that successfully for years but I closed everything down because of what's coming up. good luck!
I use Igmarkets to trade CFDs easy, but a tad laggy. With silver where it is right now and where it is going, paper PMs are a great way to increase/hedge your physical stack http://forums.silverstackers.com/topic-22773-i-don-t-wanna-stack-i-wanna-tradeplease-help.html http://forums.silverstackers.com/topic-27970-silver-charting-and-silver-ta-chat.html Start up a demo account with Igmarkets and play!
He wasn't actually being serious  Although apparently trading SLV is somehow different from Bitcoins...
I hear a lot about mining share indexes and ETFs (GDX HUI etc) but cannot find anything like the in Oz any pointers pls
