Australia with kookaburas, Now China with pandas They decided to remint early releases of the Panda coins up to 600 000 coins a year starting from 1989. As mint representative said due to higher quality control there going to be much more coins that would be graded higher. This is only applies to Panda bullion, not proof coins. Will provide link later.
I just hope this isn't some cruel april fool's joke... So I can laugh at those premiums on them pandas.
And if its not true, kudos to the OP for a well thought up April Fools. Scary thing is even if it is an April Fools the question now becomes can this actually happen, can Pandas go the way of the Kooks? Much to contemplate...........
the way this can be done. bring the dies out from Chinese mints, and used them in another country's mints. (Pink Pandas) bring the Perth Mint dies to another country... let the re-mint begins.... 1st April FULL competitions begins! see who can produce more. just claims the theft insurance buddy buddies
Finally I'm back to PC and can copy paste Here's the link that was sent to me by Shanghai mint rep http://www.cmc.gov.tw/intro_panda.jsp in chinese but google translate does its job
OK guys, April fool's day comes to an end, so now we can close the thread and move on with high premium pandas ... and continue to hope that one day mints in China decide to do the good to all people in the world and supply enough pandas for anyone )))
