That's at least $100 to much.

One would HAVE to spend $999 for a master club membership.

And if just for this one coin, it really does NOT worth the cost.

I have looked at the coins from Canadian Mint in the last couple of years, there are MORE coins are later sold BELOW the issuing price than those who sold above the issuing price. Coins with extreme appreciation is really FAR and Between

    So it is a gamble.

Don't dispute that, but this series has always done well.

Not that i'm saying that everyone should buy it. Don't shoot the messager. ;)

+1 It's hard to say who is worse with the fancy overpriced coins, RCM or Perth.

I thought I overpaid for the Tulip Ladybug at $139, the first in the series and now it's over $800. The third coin should maintain its value, maybe appreciate by 10%.

I'll be buying some if they're not sold out before being available to the public.

You can purchase the coin over the phone at Canada Post for issue price + 2.00 shipping charge. 1.800.565.4362 product code #244086. This is the only way to buy the coin at $149 if you are not a Master Club Member since it will sell out.

At 5 times spot its not a silver trade.. its a modern art coin trade.. good luck! Not saying its worse than the 4x silver value PM proof modern art coins -- just the same gamble level.. the advantage with thr RCM is they dont churn (and burn) out as many as the PM which can ONLY ever dilute the amount of interest and value in the secondary market.. (as people only have finite fiat to drop on coins)

Lets all just buy silver and then look at pictures on tv/internet! David Attinburgh has a great Wildlife series!

The butterfly is the best in the series. I can't wait to see what the mint comes up with next year. I hope its a dragonfly or grasshopper.
