750 mintage, $950 - seems like a sure fire +50% on release to me - thoughts anyone? http://www.perthmint.com.au/catalog...e-2013-10oz-silver-proof-special-edition.aspx
It caught my eye when I first saw it. I suppose if I had deep pockets I would buy one. But they aren't.
I'm tempted to get both this and the 2oz gold one . . . I probably would have already pulled the trigger, but right now I'm bummed that their site won't let me order the 25th anniversary 1/2 oz platinum koala proof
expensive for my liking and dont really into anymore PM's overpriced items...learned my lesson,I guess
Any idea what other landmarks they'll be including in the series? Or is this just a one off release? I'd love to see something from Melbourne, being a local and all.
i don't think it's a good buy but to each their own btw if you really like low mintage coins... make sure to check out the French 5 ounce silver euro's... mintage of 500 I still havn't found a design I like on this weight... think there's a mona lisa, a coco-chanel, couple others... but they are tiny mintages as well http://www.ebay.com/itm/France-2009...9348751?pt=US_World_Coins&hash=item4d078fd60f
26 still availble. OMG 724 of these have sold. They look like a kindy kid has been let loose with a purple paint brush. Will watch to see if a secondary market developes for these but to make a profit you'll need to flip it for over $1000 and thats a lot of fiat for 10oz of painted silver. :/ (and why is the 'The' in the land down under so small, is it like this in real life or does the perth mint site advertisment just make it look smaller than the rest of the text?)
